White Guilt
You know, white guilt isn’t going to fill my gas tank. I need someone who can fix this shit and it ain’t the symbolic candidate that will have as ineffectual a presidency as the current boob in office.
Obama supporters sound just like Bush supporters…rabid. Obama has better oratorical skills than Bush, but he’s woefully ignorant when it comes to policy. His recent gaffe was in saying that we needed more arabic translators in Afghanistan even though they don’t speak arabic.
Looks like whether it’s John McCain or Barack Obama we’re going to get four more years of failed policy and ignorance of foreign affairs.
But what this post is about is the white guilt that is shoving Obama into the position that he’s in today. And the condscending attitude by said white people that tells me as an African-American, I’m owed this presidency.
First I self identify as a woman first…then as an African-American, and for me, the african ancestory and my american heritage are on the same level…which is why I take the term African-American very seriously…but these two gents make excellent points about how worthless this entire campaign has been.
Read here from a black male perspective about the condescension of this nominating process. I don’t know if this guy is black or not, but I agree whole-heartedly with his analysis.

I would not say that Obama is George W. Bush by any stretch of the imagination.
This has been so disappointing. I think there must be some deep self hatred in our party. It kills me to say this but I despise the hard core supporters of both of the candidates now. They have successfully snatched defeat from the jaws of victory - once again.
1968, 1972, 1980, 1984, and even 1988 to some extent.

I have, in the past, liked both candidates. I really kind of like Obama, but judging from the lack of the support of the Democratic party base for Obama, I think Hillary should get the nom for the sake of party unity. I think there will be some serious 1968 trouble if we even think about putting Obama in there. Like we will create a whole new crop of Democrats defecting to friendlier climes. I don’t think we will ever recover, either. This party is not, and will never be the party that will be okay with a Barack Obama. Too bad.

MissMalevolent!! Never knew you had a site, HOW DARE YOU!! HAHAHA! Amazing how the obamazoids get so pshyco if you dare to question the messiah. What I find the most disgusting and saddest is this conman using race and false cries of racism to run his con. I grew up in mixed neighborhoods that were a majority AA. My best friend in the Army was Black. Today my best friend and neighbor who is the apprentice in my glass studio is Black. I’ve seen racism up close and affecting the people I love and care about. To see this clown base his campaign on cult recruitment techniques and appeals to White guilt, aided by the MSM till he had the nomination in hand is depressing almost beyond my ability to put into words. With cynical misogynistic and race baiting he has torn a rent in what I used to think was a Dem/Lib/Prog alliance that may never heal. I USED to think we were the good guys till Obama showed me that there is just as much misogyny and racism in the actual body of what I thought of as my party as in the repugnantklan. And he is just as cynically willing to use appeals to it as any repug candidate. Keep posting over at TM, screw the koolaide crowd! I will be back now that I know where you are.
